Nateisha Sedgwick has been involved with horses all of her life. Spending many years farming on a rural property in the Shire of Bruce Rock and obtaining a degree in Agricultural Science with graduating with honours.
Nateisha moved with her husband and children in 2013 80km for the capital city of Western Australia, to a 10 acre property in Bakers Hill. With multiple horses grazing on a small property, the need for constant hay feed a necessity. With not having access to the hay grown from the farm and having to purchase, a greater need to reduce the wastage was soon realised. "Hay (and feed in general) is a huge investment that horse owners spend a lot of money on every year and I saw a need to try and help reduce the loss of something we provide consistently".
This soon developed in the designing phase for the Hay Hut. 3 months in the design phase and multiple drawings by engineers, resulted in the final product currently release in today's market. Research and experience in the horse industry, Nateisha also realised the need for a quality slow feeder. To this, she created Slow-Feeder Hay Nets, that help mimic natural grazing. With this, the business has grown to include a multiple range of hay nets, salt-lick nets and high quality rodeo, western & english riding equipment and supplies as well.
There is certainly much more room for growth and development of the products and a few more products that will also be added to the range. In her business, and with her own horses, Nateisha' s main objective is to see the life of our horses to be as natural as possible, whether they are race, show or pleasure horses.
Please note that Hay Huts since relocated to Johnson Street in Bruce Rock
